Full Day Desert Excursion

Your full day desert excursion begins in Merzouga after breakfast, where a skilled local guide welcomes you aboard a private 4×4 vehicle. From there, the adventure begins with a journey through the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. As you traverse these towering sand formations, your guide will take you along lesser-known tracks, sharing stories of the land and its people.

During your Merzouga 4X4 day tour, you’ll visit the enchanting village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnaoua music and hospitality. You’ll then head to the homes of real nomads still living in traditional tents scattered across the desert. This is your chance to connect with the Sahara’s living culture—sharing tea, hearing their stories, and learning about their daily routines.

Lunchtime is another highlight of this Merzouga 4×4 Desert Tours & Excursions experience. Depending on the season, you’ll either relax in a desert Riad with a swimming pool (April to September) or enjoy an authentic Moroccan lunch in a cozy desert camp (October to March). If the lake is present, your guide will also stop at Lake Merzouga, a unique natural oasis ideal for birdwatching and photography. The tour ends with a peaceful drive back to your accommodation.
